OUR TEAM

Meet the awesome team that keep the wheels turning over here at Team Horse Trek’n and help put a face to that name!

Name: Lizzy

Job Title: Boss Lady (Owner)

Favourite Horse: Dusky or Annie (I can’t pick!)

Lizzy and her Partner Alex purchased Horse Trek’n back in 2018. Lizzy has always owned horses and ridden since a young age, competing for a time and hunting in the UK before moving to NZ. Lizzy is in charge of keeping things organised and ship-shape throughout the year, though can still be spotted leading our riding lessons or taking the occasional trek.

Name: Amy

Job Title: Trekking Guide

Favourite Horse: Ace!

Amy has been working for Horse Trek’n for some time, having started with school work experience and now becoming one of our lead trekking guides year round. When she’s not at work you may see Amy out and about at events showing with her army of miniature horses where shes is always in the placings!

Name: Mathilde

Job Title: Trekking Guide / Riding Instructor

Favourite Horse: Casanova (her own horse!)

Mathilde is our resident energiser bunny and always on the go keeping busy! Returning in the summer to help run with trek’s and also running our group lessons during the week – all while balancing riding and competing on her own horses too!

Name: Alex

Job Title: Owner (and Camera Man!)

Favourite Horse: Dusky

Alex is the man you will mostly only see behind the camera! While not as horsey himself he is great at supporting Lizzy’s business passion and can often be seen helping out in busy times or getting some fancy photo’s with his camera on those mint summer days!
