Join us for our Bayview scenic ride and experience some of the best views looking out over the Bay of Islands New Zealand. We’ll depart from our Waitangi base and head on a 1 hour (approx) scenic loop up and around the Waitangi golf course up to a view point where we can take photos. From here we’ll loop back through our paddocks and back to the base.

This ride is ideal for young children, nervous riders or people who are riding a horse for the first time. We ride at a steady walking pace which gives you plenty of time to soak in the stunning panoramic scenery. 

This ride is for all ability levels and is available for booking all year around.

Pricing & Information
  • $80 per person
  • Minimum age 5 years
  • Weight Limit: 100kg*

We ask that all customers arrive 20 minutes prior to their booked departure time so we can fit helmets and also take you through a safety briefing.

What to wear/bring:

  • Closed shoes with a small heel are preferable (no Jandals!)
  • Long trousers / sports pants (shorts will chaff your legs in the saddle!)
  • You may also wish to bring a Camera, though please note we cannot be responsible for it – you must secure this to yourself at all times.

This ride is suitable for everyone, though we recommend it for children under the age of 10 and people who are nervous or riding for the first time.

It is a steady walking pace ride up to a viewpoint and returning – our guides will walk along side children who are under the age of 8.

Yes we are happy to take your children on the ride without you – our guides will walk along side their horses – though it can make for some great family photos if you come along too!

We do have a couple of horses available who are able to carry up to around 110 kg’s however we are limited by the number of bookings on each ride.

We therefore ask that if you are over our weight limit you please call us directly on +64 (0) 210 680 633 in order to get booked in. Please note that this will be subject to additional availability and our guides judgement is final – but we will try our best.
