We’re excited to announce that we are now able to offer horse riding lessons to our lovely local community (and visitors too of course!) Here at Horse Trek’n we feel passionately about introducing people to the world of horses and horse riding – while the majority of our trek’s are suitable for beginner riders also – we love that we are now able to give back to our little community here in the Bay of Islands and offer riding lessons to those in the Paihia, Waitangi and wider area.
We can cater for all experience levels, and our English BHS qualified riding instructor Lizzy is happy to help you to start, or continue on your riding journey. We offer a flexible riding schedule that works around you, so whether it’s before school, after work hours or in the summer evenings we can be sure to help fit you in. It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner, a returning rider looking to regain confidence, or an intermediate rider working towards some additional goals, we are happy to help you achieve and continue and grow as a rider and enjoy a better partnership with your horse.
All lessons and learning is completed on a brand new 20x40m all-weather sand outdoor arena meaning you can ride with us all year round! We also have a relaxed and friendly team of happy schoolmaster horses who are here to assist with your learning – or alternatively you are more than welcome to bring your own horse. As well as learning how to ride, we will also focus on aspects of horsemanship so you can expect to learn about general horsecare and the other important aspects of horse ownership, so that you are ready and prepared one day to enjoy your own horse too!
We offer a flexible pricing structure – you can either pay for lessons as you go or receive a 10% discount for booking a block of 10 lessons in advance – visit our lessons page for more pricing information.
